Consignments Are Currently Being Accepted for Upcoming Sales
Doyle New York’s jewelry auctions on February 24-25, 2015 saw strong international competition from hundreds of bidders in the salesroom, on the telephones, and on the Internet. The sale on February 24 presented almost 900 lots of Fine Jewelry with more moderate estimates than are offered in Doyle New York’s Important Jewelry category of sales. Showcased were glittering creations – including many signed pieces – set with diamonds, colored stones and pearls, as well as gold jewelry, fine watches, and gentlemen's accessories. The sale on February 25 offered over 400 lots of Jewelry and Contents of Abandoned Safe Deposit Boxes by order of Bank of America and Banco Popular.
Competitive bidding resulted strong prices and a successful two-day total of $3,100,482, surpassing the combined pre-sale estimate of $2,005,505-2,856,835.
