(i) Paper is adhered to the mat with paper tape along the top edge verso. Toned. Scattered foxing. Wear along the edges. 1 1/2 inch vertical tear extending down from the top edge in the upper left quadrant. Slight rippling to the paper. Tape residue along the top edge verso.
(ii) L-shaped tear with corresponding paint loss in the background in the lower left quadrant. Scattered craquelure throughout. Touches of inpaint to the flowers and ivy. Two areas of repair (the larger 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches) adjacent to the still life in the upper right quadrant with corresponding patch on the reverse. Area of repair (approximately 4 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches) running down the pot and through the knife in the lower left quadrant with corresponding patch on the reverse. Vertical repaired tear at the center right edge, approximately 1/2 inch long.
