American Gothic Revival Carved Mahogany Pier Table
J. & J. Meeks, New York, circa 1850
The rectangular portor marble top above a plain ogee-shaped frieze with a crenelated apron, raised on shaped square columnar supports flanked by four thin full columns centering a mirrored back, and joined by a serpentine platform shelf stretcher, and ending in square feet, original Meeks label. Height 36 inches, width 41 inches, depth 20 inches.
