Indo-Portuguese Silver Mounted Stained Tortoise Shell and Ivory Table Cabinet
17th/18th Century
Of rectangular form, with studded diaper veneers and a pair of cupboard doors opening to reveal an interior fitted with six small drawers carved with foliate scrolls, on bun feet. Height 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm), width 10 1/2 inches (26.6 cm), depth 7 5/8 inches (19.4 cm).

Additional Notes & Condition Report

Restored condition. Some lifting and patches to tortoise shell veneers. Cracks and lifting to some panels. Bone and ivory panels with cracks, losses, lifting and discoloration consistent with age. Cupboard doors with some warpage and shrinkage. Right door off with pins loose to framing. Old marks, scratches, scuffs and wear consistent with age.
Please note that one of the doors is currently detached as the hinge is loose, can be easily re-attached.
