Chippendale Mahogany High Chest
In the Pennsylvania manner, part 18th century
In two parts, the scrolling pediment with molded and dentilated edge terminating in a pair of rosettes centering a vacant plinth, above a straight fret carved frieze, three aligned small and four long graduated drawers; the lower section with one long and three short drawers, the center drawer with shell carving, over a shaped apron with central shell carving, raised on acanthus carved cabriole legs ending in ball and claw feet. Height 8 feet, width 47 inches, depth 23 inches.
