Federal Mahogany Tall Case Clock
Aaron Willard, Boston, early 19th century
The arched hood with a scroll crest and three brass ball-form finials, enclosing a white painted dial inscribed Aaron Willard, the back of the dial inscribed J. Minott/222, with a moon phase indicator and decorated with floral spandrels, flanked by stop fluted colonettes, over the waisted case with an arched door flanked by brass stop fluted quarter columns, on a molded and line inlaid stepped base, raised on ogee bracket feet. Height 8 feet, width 21 inches, depth 10 inches.
