Doyle New York held a successful auction of Photographs on October 28, 2009. The sale featured iconic images by some of the most renowned names in the history of photography, spanning the early period of the medium up to the present day. Highlighting the auction were photographs from the Estate of Jude Peterson. With competitive international bidding from buyers in the salesroom, on the telephones and via the Internet, the sale totaled $278,733 against a pre-sale estimate of $244,700-372,600 with 85% sold by lot and 94% sold by value.
