The jacket has an unclipped price of $2.75 on the front flap. 8 1/4 inches (21 cm). x, 597 pp. New Yorker medical writer Berton Roueche's copy, with his ownership signature in pencil on the front free endpaper. Old adhesive repairs to edges of dust jacket, spine of jacket darkened, edgewear resulting in some loss to head and foot of jacket, browning to head and foot of spine, light staining to endpapers.
