Lot 1001
German Postal History Collection
Outstanding holding of over nine hundred covers gathered from the early 1940s to the mid 1950s. Included is a specialized collection of A.M.G. issues on album pages with a few stamps and a great variety of censored, combination and multiple frankings; plentiful group of Numeral, Post Horn overprints and Building issues; Federal Republic with a generous selection of commemorative and Post Horn combination covers; strong showing of Censored mail with Austrian, French and other Allied labels and markings, the overall condition is excellent with the usual wear and tear expected from such a correspondence. In addition there are some three hundred postal stationary or postal card items, including pictorial, propaganda and Colonial from the early 1900s, some of which bear special cancellations, on this group, however, there is some evidence of moisture staining. A wonderful opportunity for the specialist to build an extensive collection.
