Longton Hall or Vauxhall Porcelain Figure Group Emblematic of Autumn
Circa 1756, perhaps impressed B, otherwise unmarked, probably Vauxhall
Modeled as two putti feeding grapes to a goat, the goat naturalistically shaded in brown, the putti in iron-red and yellow drape, the rocaille-molded scroll base applied with flowers and enriched in gilt, puce, purple and green.
Height 5 1/2 inches (14cm), width 6 1/4 inches (15.9cm).
