Publisher's full vellum pictorially gilt, in modern slipcase and chemise. 11 1/2 x 9 inches (29 x 23 cm); xvi, 147, [1] pp.; 12 tipped-in color plates (including frontispiece), mounted to dark brown paper with lettered tissues, 18 illustrations in text. Boards a bit soiled, lacking ribbon ties, light wear, bump to lower edge of text block causing soft creasing in lower margin, else generally a clean copy internally.
