Pronounced flaking throughout with associated losses. The flaking is most notable in the center of the work, extending through the tents, waves, and some of the seated figures. Restoration and stabilization by a conservator is recommended. There are some drying cracks to the areas of heavier impasto, mostly in the clouds.
