Pair of Empire Style Gilt-Bronze and Marble Sixteen-Light Floor Candelabra
In the style of Baldi, Florence, Late 19th/early 20th century
Each columnar standard issuing scrolling branches centering a raised light, raised on three feet, each with a ram's mask and paw feet, continuing to a triangular base. Height of each 7 feet 3 inches, diameter 30 inches.
An almost identical pair of candelabra marked Baldi, Firenze with Lapis Lazuli stems was in the collection of Robert de Balkany, sold Christie's London, Robert de Balkany Rome & the Côte d'Azur, 23 March 2017, lot 560; and another pair with malachite stems sold Sotheby's, New York, April 16, 2024 lot 74.

each floor lamp appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; there is evidence of some infilling to losses on the top side of each marble base; typical wear and dulling to gilding
