In the manner of Claude Galle and Andre-aAntoine Ravrio, second half 19th Century
Each in the form of an ancient Roman oil lamp, the fluted ovoid body raised on a circular stem and square plinth, with finely modeled figures of a seated draped male and female figure leaning forward in study with a writing tablet.
Height 13 inches (33 cm), width 14 1/2 inches (37 cm).
