Each with shaped backplate issuing the winged figure of Victory, a straight branch to her head and holding twin candle branches in each hand; now fitted for electricity. Height 21 inches (53.3 cm).

These wall-lights are modelled after a set of six in the Munich Residenz by Claude Galle, see H. Ottomeyer and P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, no. 5.10.7, p. 357. A similar set can also be found in the Grand Trianon at Versailles, commissioned from Galle in 1809.

Very good condition, now drilled and electrified, rubbing to gilding, one with loose right branches; width 11 1/2 inches ( cm), depth 8 1/2 inches ( cm).
