Canvas is relined. White residue from a cleaning agent present along the lower part of the canvas and extending upward on the right and left sides, most notably in the curtain folds on the right and beyond the head of the seated woman on the left. A cleaning by a conservator is recommended. Otherwise, the artwork is in overall good condition. Under UV light inspection, only two areas appear to have been strengthened (the ribbon of the left-seated woman's hat and the arm of the red chair to the right).
