Modern Fabergé Gilt-Metal Mounted Malachite and Black Agate "Jeweled" Musical Egg
From the Gemstone Collection, from an edition of 20, late 20th/early 21st century

The musical egg clad in hand-carved and polished malachite, surmounted with a 24 karat gold-plated Romanov eagle, the body set with "jewels," including 237 genuine full-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.20 carats, opening to reveal a 24 karat gold-plated sterling silver Pegasus, which, when turned, starts the music box to play Strauss' Emperor Waltz, raised on a short columnar standard flanked by two opposed carved horse heads, ending in a square base inset with faux mother-of-pearl, unmarked, with original fitted box. Height 11 inches.

Egg: appears to be in very good, undamaged condition; one small screw is misisng on the underside that secures one of the stepped bracket feet into place; the music box was not tested to see if it is in good working condition (may need to be professionally serviced)
