Several surface abrasions, mostly in the lower right quadrant. A few scattered minor surface undulations, mostly visible in raking light, consistent with irregularities to the underlying support board. In the lower right quadrant three of the sections are not perfectly flush and the yellow and orange panels are slightly raised. Very small paint loss in the edge of the head of the arrow form at lower center. Surface soiling, may benefit from cleaning.

NEW YORK, NY -- The popular Doyle+Design auction on December 16, 2025 saw determined bidders drive outstanding results and a sale total that surpassed expectations. This highly-anticipated sale category showcases a wide range of Modern and Contemporary furniture, art and design by prominent designers, makers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Highlighting a group of lamps, vases and desk accessories by Tiffany Studios was a colorful bronze and leaded glass Peony table lamp from the Collection of a Naples, Florida Lady. Competitive bidding drove the lamp far beyond its $50,000-70,000 estimate to achieve an impressive $140,200.
A large-sale Raphael Blue blown glass wall sconce by Washington artist Dale Chihuly realized an exceptional $57,600, almost doubling its $25,000-35,000 estimate. Property from Irving and Joan Getz Collection, the wall sconce measured 69 inches in height and was composed of 75 hand-blown elements. Read more about Dale Chihuly.
Fine Art in the sale was highlighted by an untitled work from the series Frozen Sex, 1974, by Argentine artist Marta Minujin (b. 1943) estimated at $7,000-10,000 that sold for $38,400, a near record for the artist. American artist George Earl Ortman’s (1926-2015) Adam from 1962-63 estimated at $4,000-6,000 achieved $28,800 – A World Auction Record for the Artist.
