Four circa 1780, the others 20th century
Each swag carved backrest above a dipped seat flanked by shaped arm rests, raised on square tapering legs ending in block feet.

Nice quality, with restorations and replacements throughout
1- Repaired breaks to left stile at juncture of armrest, with replacements to veneers, repaired break to front of right handhold at juncture of armrest and support and with later patches, replaced front and side rails, back rail reinforced, old marks and scratches, front legs replaced; 2- Backrest with age crack to left side above stile, replacements to veneers, back rail with crack at juncture of left leg, front and side rails replaced, back rail reinforced, repaired breaks to front legs at tops; 3- 2 Inch chunk lacking to left curve of backrest, front left leg spliced at top; 4- Back rail stamped WE, repaired breaks to back of backrest at lower right, with replacements to veneers, repaired break at juncture of right armrest and now with patches, front of left handhold with repaired breaks and now with a patch, front legs loose; remaining four chairs in good condition with variations to carving
