NEW YORK, NY -- Jewelry auctioned at Doyle has seen outstanding results throughout the season! The strong performance of Doyle’s jewelry sales highlights the continued strength of the jewelry market, driven in part by ever-growing competition from private collectors at all levels of value. This exciting trend was particularly evident at the April 28-30, 2026 auctions of Important Jewelry, Fine Jewelry and Jewely Online, where the combined total topped an impressive $8 million.

Kashmir Sapphire – $762,500
Sapphires soared beyond expectations amid competitive bidding from around the globe. The top lot of the sale was a ring set with an exceptional Kashmir sapphire weighing 10.57 carats that achieved $762,500, far surpassing its $400,000-600,000 estimate. Property from the Collection of a Distinguished Southern Industrialist, the sapphire displayed the classic velvety blue color that makes Kashmir sapphires the most desirable among sapphires, and at 10.37 carats, it was unusually large for a Kashmir sapphire, which originate from the Kashmir mines of northen India and Pakistan.

Ceylon Sapphire – $476,750
Also noteworthy was a Ceylon (Sri Lanka) sapphire and diamond ring, France, weighing an impressive 36.44 carats that more than doubled its $100,000-200,000 estimate, selling for $476,750. Property from the Collection of a Prominent Palm Beach Lady, the sapphire exhibited a lovely cornflower-blue color typical of Ceylon sapphires, and it was exceptionally large in a beautiful antique cut.

Fancy Intense Blue Diamond – $699,000
Diamond prices continue to be strong, led by a Fancy Intense Blue diamond weighing 1.42 carats that sailed past its estimate of $300,000-500,000 to realize a remarkable $699,000. Property from a North Carolina Private Collector, the blue diamond was of natural color with VS2 clarity and set in a lovely circa 1920 ring.

Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond Necklace – $330,700
Also attracting strong interest was a platinum and diamond swag necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels that achieved an impressive $330,700, far above its $100,000-200,000 estimate. Property from the Collection of a Palm Beach Philanthropist, the graceful swag design exemplified VCA's celebrated craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
