Japanese Embellished Moss Agate Snuff Bottle
Early 20th century, attributed to the Tsuda family of Kyoto, Japan
The flattened rounded form carved with raised panels, one side decorated with coral, soapstone and lacquer depicting a beauty seated before a musician playing the qin, the reverse with two figures in a scholar's studio, bordered by lotus scrolling and embellished floral motifs. Height 2 1/8 inches.

Extensive losses to embellishments throughout. Central panels on both sides are in good condition.
