Areas of heavy impasto throughout show lifting and curling - though, as underpaint consistent with pigments on surface appear consistent, it is uncertain if this is intended by the artist. These areas of lifting and curling pigment occur primarily outside the harder-edged blocks within the composition, which also have a thicker impasto. These lifting areas appear firmly attached the the surface with no apparent signs of losses or flaking. Scattered light edge wear.
