Philadelphia: 1745. Manuscript document on vellum with intact wax seals. Approximately 9 3/4 x 31 inches (25 x 79 cm); framed. Some creasing and toning as usual, slipped in frame and unexamined out of frame.
Record of a sale of land from John Biddle of Philadelphia to William Bingham, 372 acres in the western part of New Jersey (Burlington?) for 19 pounds, 15 shillings, dated 1745. Bingham was a member of the Pennsylvania delegation to the Continental Congress. He also built the Rumson, NJ home later known as Bingham Hill, where the family of Eleazar Parmly resided for generations.
