This landmark sale saw strong prices for furniture, decorations, silver and art. The owner, from the world of publishing, was born in London to an American mother and British father. They enlisted the celebrated London decorator Kenneth Neame to design their residences in Gloucestershire, Palm Beach and Manhattan, imbuing these homes with taste and grandeur. Over time, the owner enriched the collection with exceptional pieces, displayed at his magnificent Boston Back Bay apartment and summer residence in Newport.
