A special section of the sale will present the Estate of Charles Stouse and Barbara Siman.

The Estate of Charles Strouse & Barbara Siman
Doyle is honored to auction the Estate of the legendary Tony, Emmy and Grammy award-winning composer Charles Strouse and his wife, choreographer Barbara Siman. Over his 50-year career Strouse wrote the music for such iconic musical theater hits as Bye Bye Birdie, Applause and Annie, as well as the theme song for the classic sitcom All in the Family ("Those Were the Days"). Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin's partnership on Annie produced one of Broadway's most successful scores ever. "Tomorrow" and other songs from the production have since become enduring American musical standards admired by generations.

The Edward Albee and Harold Pinter Collection of Director Alan Schneider
Following on the success of the Samuel Beckett collection sold in November 2025, Doyle is honored to offer the collection of materials relating to Edward Albee and Harold Pinter from the archive of director Alan Schneider (1917-1984). Schneider was the director for the premiere of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf in October 1962 and offered is his annotated scripts, show posters, and presentation copies of books from Albee. Of note is the Tony Award Schneider won for his direction of this important and influential play. Schneider also directed the American premieres of Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party and The Homecoming. Inscribed books and posters from this important playwright will also be offered.
