NEW YORK, NY -- Jewelry auctioned at Doyle has seen outstanding results throughout the 2025-2026 auction season! The strong performance highlights the continued strength of the international jewelry market, driven in part by robust competition from private collectors participating at all levels of value. This exciting trend was particularly evident at the June 16-18, 2026 auctions of Important Jewelry, Fine Jewelry and Jewelry Online, where the combined total topped an impressive $8 million.
Diamond Ring – $457,700
Natural diamonds continue to demonstrate their enduring appeal as collectors competed vigorously for exceptional stones in larger sizes. The top lot of the sale was a ring set with a sparkling 12.46-carat diamond, D color and VS2 clarity that sailed past its $250,000-350,000 estimate to achieve $457,700. Also noteworthy was a circa 1980s diamond ring by JAR of 5.78 carats, G color and VS2 clarity that realized $165,600, far over its $80,000-120,000 estimate.
Antique Kashmir and Ceylon Sapphire Ear Pendants – $140,200
Quality colored stones likewise attracted spirited bidding, led by a pair of antique silver, gold, sapphire and diamond ear pendants, circa 1890, that sold for $140,200, nearly three times their $30,000-50,000 estimate. Property from a Prominent Argentinian Family, the pendants set with a Kashmir sapphire of 4.17 carats and a Ceylon sapphire of 4.00 carats, with no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement.
Dazzling Jewels: The Collection of a New York Philanthropist – A White Glove Sale!
Featured in the sale was Dazzling Jewels: The Collection of a New York Philanthropist, an exceptional collection of 49 lots highlighted by exquisite creations by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co., as well as Cartier, Chopard, Harry Winston and other prominent makers. Attracting collectors from around the world, this remarkable collection achieved a white glove sale, with every lot sold. Highlighting the collection was a Cartier gold and diamond Mahango Panthère necklace, France, that sold for $133,850, nearly doubling its $50,000-70,000 estimate. The top lot among the Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. jewels was a marvelous platinum, gold and diamond Fleurage bracelet that achieved $127,500.
