Dodie Thayer Lettuce Ware Collection
Highlighting the auction is an extensive collection of 80 pieces of Dodie Thayer’s iconic ceramic lettuce ware. For decades, Thayer’s whimsical, handcrafted lettuce ware has epitomized Palm Beach style, attracting such devoted admirers as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, C.Z. Guest, Bunny Mellon and Brooke Astor. This remarkable collection is from the Estate of Lois Wideman of Palm Beach, whose distinguished career spanned modeling with the Ford Agency in New York to interior design with the celebrated Palm Beach firms Jessup, Inc. and Kemble Interiors.
