NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle’s jewelry auctions have delivered exceptional results this season, underscoring the ongoing strength of the international jewelry market. A key driver behind this continued success is the rising competition among private collectors at every price point. This exciting trend was on full display during the June 24–26, 2025 auctions of Important Jewelry, Fine Jewelry and Jewelry Online, where the combined total topped an impressive $5.5 million.

Diamond Earclips - $864,100
Diamond prices were exceptionally strong, led by a spectacular pair of Fred Leighton diamond earclips from an Important Private Collection. Accompanied by a pair of gold jackets by Belperron, the earclips featured two magnificent diamonds weighing approximately 16 carats each. Fierce bidding drove the final price to $864,100, far above the pre-sale estimate of $350,000–550,000. The broad selection of diamond jewelry on offer realized outstanding results at all levels of value, highlighting the sustained depth and strength of market demand.

Emerald Bead Necklace - $171,950
From the same Important Private Collection as the diamond earclips was an exceptional seven strand necklace composed of hundreds of faceted emerald beads accented with garnet, black onyx, pearl and diamond beads, held with an elegant diamond clasp. This remarkable necklace attracted determined bidders who sent the necklace soaring to an impressive $171,950, many times its $30,000-50,000 estimate.

JAR Paris Earclips - $165,600
Another noteworthy highlight was a stylish pair of ‘Knot’ earclips by JAR Paris from the Collection of an Early JAR Collector. Estimated at $25,000-35,000, the earclips attracted a flurry of bidding across three continents, ultimately selling for $165,600 to an American collector. Designed in 1986 to resemble grosgrain ribbon, the earclips of blackened silver studded with sparkling diamonds are illustrated in JAR Paris, the enigmatic jeweler’s 2002 encyclopedic catalogue showcasing his innovation and artistry.
