NEW YORK, NY – Doyle will hold an auction of American Paintings, Furniture, Silver & Decorative Arts on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10am. The fine art section of the sale showcases late 18th, 19th and 20th century paintings, including fine examples of nautical paintings; portraiture; still lifes and Hudson River, Western and regional landscapes, as well as Audubon, Currier & Ives and topographical prints.
American silver features the work of colonial and 19th century silversmiths from New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as 20th century services by Tiffany, Gorham and other makers.
Furniture and decorative arts offer examples spanning the Queen Anne and Chippendale through Federal and Classical styles, including mirrors, ceramics, folk art, quilts and samplers, in addition to Chinese export porcelain and rugs.
