Fascinating group of some three hundred seventy items mostly addressed to Mrs. J.G. Barnard, the wife of Brevet Major General John Gross Barnard who was the Chief Engineer of the Army of the Potomac, including a nice range of advertising and Corner Cards, Military uses, Fancy Cancels, a few Stampless and Picture Postcards, predominantly used with the Bank Note issues of the 1860-1880 with some mixed or multiple franking's, occasional flaps are missing and poor openings, no contents, a useful study group of the period, Good to Very Fine.
