BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN 'BARBED' DISH
Yongle Period (1403-1425)
Diameter 13 3/16 inches (33.5 cm)

The cavetto is filled with six flowerheads and running foliage that are surrounded by twelve stylized floral sprays painted on the deep wall, all within a flat rim painted with a wave design. The reverse is painted with twelve simplified and stylized floral sprays.
