CHINESE EXPORT BLUE AND WHITE KRAAK PORCELAIN CHARGER
Shunzhi Period (1644-1661)
Diameter 19 3/4 inches (50.3 cm)
With a slightly scalloped edge, the plate is painted in a deep blue pigment in the cavetto with a landscape scene of geese, rockwork and flowers by a stream, all within a border of eight large panels of flowers and Lucky Things alternating with eight slender panels of stylized narcissus.
