Comprising: 1) An inscribed photograph depicting a glamorous Coward smoking by Horst for Vogue, 8 x 10 inches, with a three line signed inscription, creases and a small marginal loss; 2) A signed photograph dated 1942 and titled "In Which We Serve" depicting Coward in his costume for that film, 3 1/2 x 5 inches, old mounting to verso; 3) an unsigned note on a card of Coward's stationery card; 4) a short note on a full sheet of his stationery ("Just going down to the Queen Elizabeth"), toned; 5) A typed letter signed, 1961, about his rehearsal schedule for Sail Away, showthrough of mounting to corners; 6) a typed letter signed, 1964, mentioning High Spirits and Private Lives and that "I am fascinated with your tales of Hoffman. He appears to be a brisk little Jewish go-getter", fine; 7) a two page typescript of his song "World Weary" with an explanatory text paragraph before the six stanzas of the song, signed at end in ink, possibly circa 1955, lightly spotted; 8) a large photograph with a faded inscription, framed; and 9) the signed contract for "Blithe Spirit", 1963, 6 long pages, signed at the end by Coward, Timothy Gray and Hugh Martin, fine; Together with Poems by Hernia Whittlebot. A fine miscellany of items signed by Coward. Of the book present here, Coward's character Hernia Whittlebot was a satire on Edith Sitwell and the poems were later published in Coward's "Chelsea Buns" in 1924. The lot 10 items.
