The canvas is laid down on a wooden backboard. Frame rubbing with associated wear and some losses to the edges. There is an old varnish, some light surface dirt and a fine pinched craquelure which appears to have occurred when the canvas has been laid down. Minor paint shrinkage along the extreme left edge to the background. Small damage to the background upper right with associated old retouching.
