Early full brown morocco gilt signed Alfred Matthews, rebacked preserving original spine, gilt turn ins, top edge gilt, the parts issue wrapper for no. 1 bound-in at front. 8 3/4 x 5 3/8 (23.5 x 14); 254 pp., 16 plates after H.K. Browne including frontis and title vignette. The spine and covers darkened and with a few chips to bands, the plates very clean, the text with intermittent spots.
