First edition. Contemporary paneled calf, the front pastedown with remnant of a binders label "[Carey?] & Lea/ Bookbinders." 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches (27 x 22 cm); with separate title pages for the old and new testaments and the Concordance (this dated 1790), bound without Ostervold's Practical Observations. The binding worn with the cover detached, the title detached, dampstained and worn with losses and a tear, the dampstaining affecting margin of the first section of the work, foxing, losses to final two signatures resulting in some loss of text, the blanks with manuscript birth records of the Chalfant family with a color floral ornament.
