(The Hague & London): [J.B.W. editions-but see below], 1935, but actually 1971. One of a stated 50 copies, though none were issued in the apparent year of publication, as the illustrations were never completed. This is one of 23 copies (with a sleeve with five experimental engravings by John Buckland Wright that do not appear in the book) made from the final portion of the sheets. The balance of 27 were issued by the Golden Cockerel Press in 1956, see previous item. Original vellum over boards tooled to a Buckland-Wright design by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, with original slipcase and sleeve. 11 3/8 inches (28 cm), top edge gilt. 12 ff., text in French, illustrated with collotype reproductions after wash drawings by Buckland Wright, as prepared for the 1956 Golden Cockerel edition.
