Single-page typed letter signed "Richard Nixon" on one sheet of his personal "20 Broad Street/New York" stationery, 10 1/8 x 7 inches (26 x 18 cm); housed in a folding black morocco folder stamped "Richard Nixon" and with a description and provenance sheet opposite the letter. The letter with usual folds, two small remnants of former mounting on verso, fine overall and nicely presented.
Provenance: the Collection of Ruth and Andre Reichmann
Nixon, in his "Wilderness Years" period as a New York attorney during the Johnson presidency, here responds to two questions from a Theodore Dubay of New Jersey regarding his stance, and that of the Republican Party, on Labor Unions.
