A gold Oscar form lipstick holder presented to Celeste Holm. Circa early 1948, a gold lipstick holder with a mounted Oscar statuette to the front panel, inscribed on the underside "To Celeste Holm/Gratefully/Ralph Edwards", stamped 14kt. Height 2 1/2 inches. Minor wear.
Ralph Edwards was the original host of the popular TV gameshow Truth or Consequences and Celeste Holm was a frequent celebrity guest. Ms. Holm won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 1947 film Gentleman's Agreement.
