In contemporary mottled calf, with six raised bands and gilt title label to spine. 13 1/2 inches (34.5 cm). [4], 299 pp., [5]. Illustrated with 43 engraved plates including one folding map, plus one intertextual plate, but lacking the frontispiece portrait. Rubbing to binding, minor dampstaining to outer edge of roughly half the text block, one plate slightly trimmed, folding plate apparently reattached, generally a very presentable copy.
