A very rare MacArthur signature from the period (1919-1922) in which he served as Superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Cortlandt Van Rensselaer Schuyler would go on to become a four-star general who served as Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (COFS SHAPE) from 1953 to 1959. Rare: we trace only one other signed diploma in the auction record.
