Single sheet, 6 3/4 x 4 3/8 inches (17 x 12 cm); dated 19 May, 1880, written from Budapest to his cigar merchant (Liberato Ruzeli) in Rome regarding a purchase of cigars. Salutation, seven lines, two line felicitation and date; the envelope also in the composer's hand. Also included is the original envelope in Liszt's hand. Both items matted and framed with portrait, the letter lightly toned. Not examined out of frame.
