Charles E. Luton, Birmingham, UK label affixed to frame. Frame rubbing with associated wear to edges, including some losses to pigment. Minor stretcher impressions and buckling to canvas in corners. Very fine craquelure visible under a raking light. Under UV light, there are some scattered dots and dashes of apparent strengthening applied to the black pigments, particularly in the upper half of the work.
