5 cut-cornered rectangular-cut peridots ap. 115.25 cts., one oval and 4 cut-cornered rectangular peridots ap. 10.45 cts., old-mine cut diamonds ap. 10.85 cts., small old-mine and rose-cut diamonds, main section detachable as individual sections, with fittings for tiara, circa 1890, ap. 70.3 dwts. Length 15 1/4 inches. With tiara fitting and fitted box signed Collingwood (Jewellers) Ltd. to the Royal Family 446 Conduit St. W.

Provenance:

Purchased Christie's, London, circa 1985, from the collection of Ian Murray, the 10th Duke of Atholl and Blair Castle.

Tests as 14 kt.

Largest peridots: medium to medium deep vivid yellowish-green, transparent, two center side peridots with visible surface-reaching feathers across table and few smaller feathers, others cleanish, all with slightly visible scratches and abrasions, lively.

Smaller peridots: medium light yellowish-green, cleanish, scratched and abraded, lively.

Diamonds: H-I-J-SI.

Center width 1 3/4 to 1 3/8 inches.
