each plate appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition, i.e., no apparent rim chips, hairline cracks,etc.; one plate has a small black colored spot on its underside, apparently, as made and not of any real consequence; each plate has some scattered small flake losses to the enamel decoration, including at the rim edges, commensurate with age and usage, not of any real consequence; each of the plate centers appear to be generally free of knife scratch marks; each is signed on the underside with Chinese characters
