BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN SQUARE JAR

Height 5 inches (12.7 cm)
The squat baluster caddy with compressed sides and notched corners is constructed of two parts luted at the midsection. It is painted about the foot with a stylized lappet band and about the body with four panels of flowers and rockwork below a shoulder painted with running foliage. Square commendation mark under the foot probably reading Fu guei jia ji "May infinite happiness embrace all your affairs". Unidentified collector's paper label under the foot.
