Comprising a bronze model of the Kamakura Buddha, immortal riding a tortoise; and two lacquer and pigment painted traveling shrines. Height of largest 12 inches.
Bronze Buddha: good condition; immortal on tortoise: tortoise tail reglued on, chip to nose and front foot; tall travel shrine: one door off hinges, lacquer with areas of wear, metal flame-form mandorla behind central figure bent and with loss to extremities, areas of pigment loss on painting inside doors; small travel shrine: chips to edges, Buddha missing hand, overall wear, later Chinese stand screwed into base and has loss to one foot.
