NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's auction on February 19, 2020 offered jewelry, watches and gold coins, in addition to contents of abandoned safe deposit boxes by order of Bank of America. Showcased were stylish gold jewelry and pieces set with diamonds and other gemstones, as well as costume jewelry and accessories and numerous group lots.
Over 1,600 lots were offered over two days, with Jewelry & Contents of Abandoned Safe Deposit Boxes on February 19 and Fine Jewelry on February 20. Strong competition drove the two-day total to a successful $3,878,425 surpassing the estimate of $2,380,845-3,364,240 with an exceptional 96% and 91% of the lots sold on day one and two.
