Light wear to corners, blind stamp and business card taped to front free endpaper, non-authorial inscription to first blank, minor stain to fore edge.
With an inscription from the author's great-grandson, George E. Walton, dated 2007, and his business card. "The author gives us his experiences in an interesting and readable style. He arrived in California overland in 1852, and remained here until he enlisted in Walker's filibustering expedition in Nicaragua, arriving at the scene of action at the very end of Walker's career in that Country" (Graff).
