Pair of Chinese Glazed Stoneware Fu Dog Roof Tile Finials
Late Ming dynasty, 17th century
In opposing stances with green, blue and brown glazes, billowing scarves around their heads, mouths open and bulging eyes; one with right forepaw on brocade ball, the other with left forepaw resting on a cub, both on rectangular plinths. Height 15 3/4 inches.
